Refresher Courses New rules that came into effect following the Manila Conference in 2010 require several STCW certificates to be updated every 5 years. In broad terms these rules took effect on 1st January 2017 and so if you hold the following certificates and they were over 5 years old on 1st January 2017 they will no longer be valid and you may be working illegally and/or unable to get work.

At The Bristol Maritime Academy, we specialise in delivering basic STCW training and we can provide refresher training for Personal Survival Techniques and faciltate STCW Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting for individuals and/or whole crews if required.
