The program (D12) forms a synthesis of theoretical and practical training in the form of lectures and exercises on fire polygons, with the use of fire-fighting techniques, appliances, devices and equipment. The task of the Advanced Fire Fighting program is familiarizing seafarers’ tactical action during firefighting, hazards, safety measures and calculating the required amount of extinguishing agents. During the training sailors are going to acquire the knowledge and skills required for firefighting, saving lives and property, environmental pollution and all hazardous events that may occur in maritime transport in general.
After successfully completing the course and examinations at the Harbor Master's Office, candidates will receive certificate issued by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia.
