This course aims to provide knowledge to those who may be designated to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Ship Security Officer (SSO), in accordance with the Code of South African Maritime Qualifications, the Merchant Shipping (Training & Certification Regulations 1999 and the STCW Code, Section A-VI/5.

Requirements

South African Identity Document or valid passport to be presented on day 1.

All candidates must be conversant and literate in English.

Additional

A minimum of 4 candidates are required for the course. The fee includes manuals, notes, stationery sundry materials.

Refreshments and lunch are provided whilst on course.
