The 4-day U.K. MCA Approved Medical First Aid at Sea (MFA) Course is the intermediate medical course after the STCW Basic course of Elementary First Aid.

It is a pre-requisite for entry to a Medical Care at Sea course and recommended for all crew working on board superyachts, cruise ships, merchant ships and oil / gas rigs.

The course covers the provision of medical first aid on board a ship and will give in depth knowledge and practical experience of how best to treat a patient, using the kit and equipment available on board all properly equipped vessels.

Galileo Maritime Academy is directly accredited by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) of the Department of Transport of the United Kingdom to issue MCA Approved Certificates.
