STCW - Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping

Our STCW Basic Safety Training package is a one-week course comprised of five different MCA accredited courses.  
The basic modules of Elementary First Aid, Fire-Prevention & Fire-fighting, Personal Safety & Social Responsibility and Personal Survival Techniques cover the minimum training mandatory for all seafarers working on commercial vessels over 24-meters, and Proficiency in Security Awareness also included in our package, which is mandatory for seafarers on ISPS coded vessels. 

Basic Training Package:

  Basic First Aid Training, Life-saving techniques 
• Personal Safety & Social Responsibility
  An understanding of on board working conditions, safety procedures and accident prevention
• Personal Survival Techniques
  Survival at sea in event of emergency, life-raft familiarization
• Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting
  Fire causes, prevention, extinguishing techniques
• Proficiency in Security Awareness
  Importance of on board security and how to recognize and react in the event of security threats

Please note it is advisable to acquire your ENG1 Medical Certificate prior to booking your STCW basic training, to ensure you do not have a medical condition that may prevent you from finding employment at sea.
