This 40 hour Proficiency in Survival Craft (Lifeboatman) Course provides the necessary background and knowledge of the subjects concerning the requirements and duties of a Lifeboatman.

The class is offered in lieu of the Coast Guard exam and incorporates training on our full-size lifeboat and davits.
Upon successful completion of the course and exams, the student will receive a certificate of completion, to be recognized by the U.S. Coast Guard for a Lifeboatman/Proficiency in Survival Craft certificate and an endorsement for proficiency in survival craft, meeting the requirements of STCW95 Section A-VI/2 and A-VI/2-1; and the written and practical examination requirements of 46 CFR 12.10-5 for endorsement as Life-boatman if presented within one year of completion of training; AND the written Survival Craft examination requirements of 46 CFR 12.05-9 for an endorsement as Able Seaman Offshore Supply Vessel.
