The STCW Security Awareness course is meant for people who work on board of a ship and don´t have any security tasks assigned to them. It´s important that these people are aware of potential dangers on board and have knowledge about safety plans and procedures. 

The content that will be covered during this course is as follows:

• The meaning and consequence of various safety levels
• Knowledge of shipping protection plan, procedures and precautions
• Detect and recognize safety risks
• Detect and recognize, in a non-discriminant way, the characteristics and behavioural patterns of persons that can threaten the safety
• Techniques that are used in order to circumvent safety precautions
