This full STCW Marshall Island Approved Basic Safety Training Week is run in partnership with Crew Training Solutions, an MCA Approved Training Centre in Naples (ITALY), Palma de Mallorca (SPAIN ) and Grimsby (UK)

Course Summary:

Under STCW, all new entrants to the maritime industries are required to complete an STCW Basic Safety Training Week before joining a vessel. It is made up of the following courses, Security Awareness, Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR), Personal Survival Techniques (PST), Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting and Elementary First Aid (EFA). These courses can be taken individually or can be taken together in this cost saving package.

OBJECTIVES

STCW requires all seafarers to receive familiarisation and basic safety training or instruction in accordance with section A-VI/1 of the STCW Code. The minimum requirements for familiarisation and basic safety training are contained within the Basic Safety Training Week (BSTW) and meet the appropriate standard of competence.
