Based in Plymouth, Devon, SeaRegs Training is accredited by the MCA, SQA, RYA , Nautical Institure and Highfield to deliver a range of courses aimed specifically for people looking to work on the sea.
We have a montly programme of STCW basic training including either the Proficiency in Security Awareness or the Proficiency in Designated Security Duties. All the elements are held in Plymouth over 5 or 6 days depending on the Security course, our centre is a few minutes from the A38 and Plymouth Train/Bus station which have direct links to Bristol/Exeter Airports and London. Plymouth has a wealth of accommodation to suit all budgets.
In addition to STCW Basic training, we are Highfield accredited to offer the Level 2 Food Safety as required under the Martime Labour Convention for anyone who handles food onboard a commercial vessel.
SeaRegs Training is an RYA Practical and shorebased training centre with courses from beginner to instructor. Our MCA/SQA qualifications are for Masters and crew as well as Instructor training for STCW Instructors. We are an approved Apprenticeship Training provider with funding for employers through the Educational Skills Funding Agency.

It was top-notch. I took the STCW HELM operational course and the Master 200 GT/OOW 500 prep 5-day course and studied the 2 books written by Simon JINKS (Collision Regulations Handbook and Crammer for Deck Officer Oral Exams) and PASSED! This is a brilliant maritime learning facility with great staff who are quick to respond and have great industry knowledge. I used their shoreside accommodation, which is a short walk away, perfect for studying and next to the pub. I highly recommend Searegs and will definitely use them again.

Weekend Sail - 3/2022 - only managed half a day sailing for £650. Rest of time spent in marina twiddling thumbs. Weather forecast was clearly too windy to mean going out was not going to be possible. Would have expected a call to abort/refund/options, rather than what we got.

Attended the Powerboat Level 2 as a Mum with 2 teenage sons in August, the course was exceptional our trainer Ben was so skilled and patient and a fantastic teacher. I can not recommend this place highly enough, we have come away with essential knowledge and skills to build upon - anyone considering getting a boat or taking up the sport really should do this! I could not imagine getting the water without this knowledge. Thanks Sea Regs it was awesome!

Have completed half a dozen courses with the excellent searegs. Friendly staff, great instructors. Always have time to talk and give advice about career progression without trying to sell you another course. A deep well of experience and knowledge. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
