  I did the RYA Marine diesel engine course with Chieftain Training. Our trainer John knew his stuff, delivering the course in an engaging way with some great practical exercises that really hammered home the content.

  It was an incredible experience from start to finish. The weekend was well-organized and packed with valuable learning, especially the pool sessions and case studies, which were both intense and practical. The pool sessions in particular gave us hands-on confidence in real-life survival techniques, and the case studies offered insights that made everything feel much more applicable to actual scenarios.
  
  Our instructor were knowledgeable and kept everything engaging. We walked away with new skills and a much stronger sense of preparedness for offshore sailing. We’ll definitely be back for a refresher course in the future.
  
  Highly recommended to anyone serious about offshore preparedness!

  Doug and the team at Cheifton Training put me through a RYA Powerboat level 2 course, he was quick to respond to my query, worked around my tight schedule and gave me 1 on 1 training and assessment. Thoroughly recommend catching up with Doug and the team to get you on the water!

  Very good tender operator course at Chieftain Training - RYA & STCW Courses with the use of digital navigation and pilotage. We had a lovely instructor and very good facilities. Highly recommend and look at the scenery!

  It wasn’t death by PowerPoint! Knowledgable and industry based staff. Fully equipped classroom. Heads and limited parking. Bottomless tea and coffee and a set of well presented easy to follow courses notes with plenty of practice tests

  I took the RYA Radar course with Chieftain Training in March 2024. It was an excellent hands-on course. The instructor, Doug, is very knowledgeable and patient teacher. On the day I took the course there were only three students, which was very nice. The course pulled together using radar as part of navigation, which was exactly what I was hoping.
  
  I also got a tour of their engineering room where they keep a number of diesel and outboard engines, and where they teach their engine classes. There was a diesel engine course going on when I visited. It was impressive. I'm planning to go back to Chieftain for their two-day diesel course.
  
  All in all a great experience. I recommend Chieftain Training.
