Terms and Conditions
Booking
4.1 Telephone bookings will be held without deposit for a maximum of 24 hours.
4.2 The students place on the course is secure once the company receive a signed, completed booking form (per student) and the company is in receipt of the 25% deposit payment.
4.3 By submitting booking form, you are consenting to be bound by these terms and conditions.
4.4 Bookings will not be confirmed to you in writing until the deposit payment has been received by Seascope.
Payment
5.1 A deposit payment of 25% is due to secure the students booking, these deposits are non-refundable.
5.2 Final balance of the course is due on or before the first day of training.
5.3 Payments can be paid by cheque, bank transfer, credit card or cash.
5.4 We do not accept payment with AMEX.
5.5 Credit card payments will be subject to a 3% administration charge.
5.6 If you are paying by cheque or bank transfer, allow a week for the deposit to appear in our account before the course commences.
Amendments
6.1 The company reserves the right to alter the published schedule. If this is unacceptable to the client a full refund shall be made.
6.2 No responsibility what so ever will be accepted for air fares or other costs incurred.
Data accuracy
7.1 Seascope makes every possible effort to ensure that the information publicised is accurate and up-to-date, but we accept no legal liability for errors or omissions, and reserve the right to make changes without notice.
Cancellation
8.1 If Seascope is unable to run the course booked, the client will be offered an alternative booking date.
8.2. If Seacope is unable to offer the client an alternative booking or the client is unable to accept an alternative booking, the company will refund any deposit or course fees paid.
8.3 In the event of the company cancelling a course we shall only be liable for refund of course fees paid. No payment will be paid made for incidental costs.
8.4 In the event of the client wishing to cancel their place on the course, the following terms apply:
a. More than 8 weeks’ notice of the course commencing, 25% of the total course cost is chargeable, unless the company can resell the clients place. In this instance an administration fee will be charged to the client of 5%.
b. Between 8 – 4 weeks’ notice of the course commencing, 50% of the total course cost is chargeable, unless the company can resell the clients place. In this instance an administration fee will be charged to the client of 5%.
c. Between 4 - 2 weeks of the course commencing, 75% of the total course cost is chargeable, unless the company can resell the clients place. In this instance an administration fee will be charged to the client of 5%
d. Less than 2 weeks’ notice of the course commencing, full payment is due.
8.5.1 In the event that the client needs to change the date of training, Seascope will do its upmost to accommodate the change at no further cost. This is dependent on the notice given and thus Seascopes’ ability to ‘resell’ the place on the course– as per the terms above.
8.6 In the event that the client fails to attend the course, then the client is liable for the total cost of the course.
8.7 Seascope shall not accept claims and shall not be liable at any time for claims or expenses should a cancellation occur that is caused by circumstances beyond its control. Including; sickness, accident, travel delays, weather, strikes, war or civil unrest.
