Established in 2001, Bluewater Maritime School is located in Jacksonville FL.
The school offers a unique 3 week Specially Trained Ordinary Seaman program to provide superior trainng to entry level mariners. Day and evening classes are available.
Popular STCW courses offered include Basic Training, Basic Training Refresher, Basic Training Revalidaton, Vessel Personnel with Designated Security Duties, Vessel Security Officer, Tank Ship (Tankerman), Able Seaman, Lifeboat and radar courses.
VA education benefits are accepted.

I went through this school and once I graduated learned that it’s probably the worst I’ve had a really hard time getting out there after wasting all of this money nobody wants bluewater graduates to be honest they are even saying we still don’t know enough for entry level like wtf this goes against almost everything bluewater said

The office staff and leaders demonstrate their greed for money and lack of interest in developing future seamen. A trade many young black men look forward to completing.
I paid for the FULL three week Ordinary Seaman DAY program.
After successfully completing the first two weeks, my son showed up for class a few minutes late on Monday of the third week.
He was instructed to return in three weeks to complete the last week of the course since he was tardy. This was shocking as he witnessed, for two full weeks, other classmates arrive to class late, never to be sent home from the program.
He was assured that there would not be any financial obligations upon his return. We cancelled the remaining hotel days (which were not refundable), and my son drove back to North Georgia.
Three weeks go by and my son returns to the program, bright, early and on time from a 5 hour drive from out of state. He was not allowed to join the class, was told his return date wasn’t finalized despite the details provided to us three weeks prior, and was told to pay an additional $150.
After asking to speak with a manager, he was told they were unavailable and to complete the last week of the course he needed to pay an additional $850.Angel Garza
I took the AB course with MR Ayman and he is the best teacher anyone can ask for he is very knowledgeable in his profession and very patient and will make sure you understand the subject.

Owners are Very unprofessional and disrespectful you paying all this money to follow all these stupid rules nd can’t even come in 2 minutes late even knowing the instructors dont start the classes until a hour later smhh soo basically we sitting in the room looking at the walls nd can’t even come in a minute late which is stupid if yall gon have rules it should apply to everybody including instructors class supposed to start at 6 ? Soo y is it not being started at 6 all they care about is collecting your money waste of money dont recommend unless you wanna be disrespected

The School seems like a pretty good school with pretty good instructors. The only thing I didn't like was when I called trying to get information school the lady was rushing me off the line. I had a few questions but I couldn't get them to answered.

Most of the instructors are after the fees and money for the courses even the admin staff they aren't really here to see you be great they are here to collect your money nothing else it's like four instructors that may care about you getting through this program

The Actual School is good!!!!! The Office Manger Is Very disrespectful and unprofessional!!!!! He told the students they didn’t need a certain class to get on the boat. So when my son chose not to take the class that he stated they didn’t need!!!!!! He refuse to refund me my money and hung up in my face !!!!!
