STC-KNRM
STC-KNRM is a subsidiary of two special organisations based at Heijplaat in the port of Rotterdam. The STC Group is (worldwide) leading in the field of shipping education and related knowledge for all common activities and activities in the port and logistics field. The KNRM is the Koninklijke Nederlandse Redding Maatschappij (Royal Dutch Rescue Company), which, as a non-subsidised voluntary organisation, has been working for almost 200 years to rescue and help drowning people in (Dutch) waters. This knowledge and experience is combined at STC-KNRM, which means that very high quality maritime and offshore 'emergency response' training can be provided for companies, institutions and individuals. We regularly deploy experienced instructors from STC Training & Consultancy and invite the crew of the KNRM to give guest lectures. With the money generated at the training centre, we are able to provide young enthusiastic students of the STC with education and training, and we also ensure that the KNRM remains able to use trained boarding personnel to go out to sea on the best possible equipment.

The best part about it is the instructors themselves, they help to guide and explain everything carefully and they give you confidence that you can do the practical part even the difficult ones. I strongly recommend this center. I would give it 100 star and 5 simply don't reflect how good it is.

Good experience. It's easy to find. Not parking on site but on the street which is fine for me. Very neat reception, I know the way so I can continue. In a canteen area you can enjoy a variety of coffee for free. While you wait you have a great view. Free WiFi available if you need to do some work. There was already hard work in the kitchen, but by then I had already finished my medical examination so I can't share anything regarding sandwiches and the like.

Had a great Basic Safety training with very nice and caring instructors. Recommend the trainings also when it’s not needed for your function. Also the canteen has very nice lunch.

The HUET training at STC-KNRM is a very good training. In the morning you will be guided by a skilled instructor. This instructor explains the theory in an interesting and fun way. You are now ready for the practical part. You will also be well guided by the instructors.
The facilities (in this case the swimming pool) of STC-KNRM are great. Everything is neat, including the materials you work with.
The accessibility of STC-KNRM is good. There is a large parking lot at the location where you can park for free.
In times of Corona I thought it was exciting how everything would be arranged. Fortunately it was all clear and well arranged. The group was small and everyone kept their distance. The materials used are all cleaned.

Wir haben dort ein Seeüberlebenstraining mitgemacht. Es war sehr schön und spassig. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle freundlich und immer bereit anfallende Fragen zu beantworten. Man wird nie alleine gelassen. Kleines Manko: Das Fallboot ist mittlerweile sehr niedrig aufgehängt, dementsprechend ist die "Flugzeit" im Bereich von einer Sekunde.
